In The Beginning...

January 2006 saw the begining of Southern Fired Pottery & Glass in a kitchen in Bolton, MS.  Jess and Phyllis Tackitt have successfully grown the business from that kitchen to a 5,000 square foot studio in Edwards, Mississippi.

Our Business

Our focus in 2009 has shifted to the designing and production of glass art. The two year development process of our glass art has been fulfilling as well as challenging. 

With limited formal training it has been a rewarding experience to piece together what feels like a giant puzzle that changes with every cut of glass.  There is nothing we would rather do than have the pleasure of creating a piece of "art" for someone to enjoy. 

Drawing from past projects, we use a keen sense of design with an eye for detail as we carefully review the look and feel of the glass art and determine a name that lends itself to a southern flair.
